Pause Practice Peace
Daily guided meditation & writing, 12 Feb - 28 Feb 2025
17 days of care from the Full Moon to the New Moon. 1pm UK / 2pm Europe / 8am EST
Live on Zoom, with recordings & writing prompts
A place to receive (and give yourself) support as you take time, commit to your aspiration, attune to your inner wisdom, and make peace with your mind.
Aligned with the cycles of the Moon as it transitions from the intensity of peak illumination (variously symbolising enlightenment, inner wisdom, healing and insight), to the quietude and potential of its revolution, this offering is a chance to devote 17 days to a consistent practice of tending to your experience with care and curiosity.
Drawing on Buddhist and Yogic wisdom and practice, each day will include a guided meditation, a writing prompt to encourage self-reflection, and a moment to share and/or listen.
Why you, why me, why this, why now?
This offering is for you if you’re new to, curious about, or a seasoned practitioner of meditation and/or journaling, and are looking for some support with staying consistent in your practice - at a regular, manageable time. Hence this is a relatively short and simple practice where I’ll guide you to drop in, focus your awareness, and harvest the fruits of your practice with carefully composed writing prompts.
We often underestimate or doubt our ability to stay in the moment, on the page, with our mind, in our seat. When we try - and when we have the benefit of skillful and inspired guidance - we realise we can go further than we might otherwise believe.
I’ve had a personal writing practice all my life, using journaling/reflective/confessional writing (see my blog for more on this) as a way of devoting some care and attention to my mental, emotional and spiritual health. I have been a professional writer for 25+ years and for the past seven years, have combined all of my experience and insight to offer mentoring and teaching services to people who are interested in using writing as a form of creative transformation and personal inquiry. In short, I know what works, I do it well and it gives me great pleasure and satisfaction to help others feel the benefit. I’m also training with my teacher Lama Justin von Bujdoss in spiritual caregiving (chaplaincy) underpinned by my personal practice and ongoing study of the Buddha Dharma, which builds on my commitment to contribute my time, energy and skills towards the liberation of all beings from suffering. You can find testimonials from previous participants in my classes, offerings and 1:1 services across this website.
